On the first floor of a converted Victorian townhouse, it is inspired by Japanese design. The block stairs lead up to a pod, which is behind screens that can slide back to connect it with the whole room, or be closed to shut it off. The theme is birch ply cabinetry, with storage in a hollowed-out chimney recess opposite the galley kitchen.
