The Old Orchard II

This outstanding five-bedroom house was completed in 2021 under the award-winning practice Studio Spicer. Designed as a new build in conjunction with the owners, the brief called for excellent quality of light, ease of movement, and a deep connection with the natural landscape – requirements expertly fulfilled by banks of glazing, uninterrupted views, and a silhouette moulded to the hillside. Spanning a spectacular 8,000 sq ft, the house feels wonderfully secluded, with fields and stables that hint at its pastoral setting, plus a private two-bedroom annexe set within the sweeping eight-acre grounds.
