After artist John Booth showed us around his home and On The Floor, a colourful salon he designed for his friend and housemate Barry Linnen, we’re getting a sense of his house style.
How would you describe the interiors of your house?
A right mixed bag.
If there was a fire and you could only save one thing, what would it be?
My housemate, Barry.
What was the last thing you bought for the house?
The ‘Diana A’ side table by Konstantin Grcic in yellow.
Where do you shop for your home?
SCP, Vitra, and Diagonal Furniture.
Top three coffee table books?
Farm, Jackie Nickerson, Native Funk & Flash: An Emerging Folk Art, Alexandra Jacopetti, and Exactitudes, Arie Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek.
If money was no object, what changes would you make?
I’d buy the flat and change the lighting for starters, and then get a poured resin floor, in a lovely colour.
Less is more or more is more?
More is 100% always more.
Design classics or contemporary pieces?
Design classics
If you’re having people over for dinner, what do you cook?
I don’t really cook so I’ll try and get people to bring food round, or cook for me (I know this is really bad).
What are the best things about the neighbourhood?
It’s leafy, it’s quiet and lots of my mates live near.
