What a year! Since January, we’ve launched 300 of the UK’s best properties on our website. We’re taking a moment to look at our most-viewed sales listings in our roundup of the best homes of 2017.
1. Klein House, Selkirk, Scottish Borders
This truly spectacular mid-century masterpiece was designed in 1957 by Peter Womersley, for the renowned textile designer Bernat Klein. We launched it for sale this summer for the first time in its history, and sold it for twice the amount it was valued at by the local agent.
2. Kenilworth, Warwickshire
Another exceptional example of 20th-century design, this 1960s house was inspired by the American residences of Frank Lloyd Wright.
3. Lewes, East Sussex
Fresh from winning the RIBA 2017 National Award, we were excited to launch this extraordinary contemporary house for sale.
4. St Ann’s Court, Surrey
A house with a remarkable heritage, St Ann’s Court is one of the most iconic houses to have been built in Britain in the first half of the 20th century.
5. Assington, Suffolk
This incredible barn conversion, currently on the market with us, won the ‘Restoration of the Year’ at The Sunday Times British Home Awards earlier this year.
6. Thursford Barn, Norfolk
Having listed this idyllic north Norfolk barn as a Holiday Let for several years, we’re excited to have launched it for sale.
7. St Oswald’s Place, London SE11
We completed the sale of this Grade II*-listed converted Victorian school house last month.
8. St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex
In September we completed the sale of this property in East Sussex – the former residence of Queen Adelaide, wife of King William IV.
9. Atrium House, Totnes, Devon
This house sits high above the beautiful town of Totnes, and has exceptional panoramic views of the Devon countryside towards Dartmoor.
10. Langham House Close, Richmond, London TW10
Langham House Close was recently described by the 20th Century Society as ‘a benchmark against which all other apartment blocks can be measured’.
